Outreach![]() When it comes to environmental and social initiatives, we believe action is the antidote to apathy.
3form works hard to create a culture of sustainability internally, with its over 400 employees, as well as externally. We do this through our everyday focus on our environmental goals, but also by continually striving to learn, contribute, and be inspired by others. DesignBuildBluff![]() Each year at the University of Utah, the DesignBuildBluff program gives graduate students of architecture the opportunity to move from representation to reality by challenging them to harmonize an actual client’s needs with architectural purpose. Whenever possible and practical, it employs natural building methods and non-traditional materials to create unique structures that combine a sense of doing good with designs appropriate for the task at hand. 3form is proud to donate materials each year in addition to 10% of all reclaim revenue.
Waterkeeper Alliance![]() 3form partners with the Waterkeeper Alliance to help educate Utah residents about the threats to our water resources and inspire citizens to take action toward a future where water is valued as the vital resource it is.
LEED, USGBC![]() As a long-time member of the US Green Building Council, 3form recognizes the importance of LEED rating system to sustainable design. 3form panels are able to help achieve LEED credits across a number of potential categories and was selected as a partner for the USGBC’s headquarters in Washington DC. We are engaged in promoting green building practices and education both through our national membership as well as through our local engagement at the Chapter level.
> Visit USGBC > FIND YOUR LOCAL CHAPTER Solar Decathlon![]() An annual competition in which 20 teams of college and university students compete to design, build, and operate the most attractive, effective, and energy-efficient solar-powered home. 3form is proud to support the Solar Decathlon by donating material for use in these incredible high design/low impact homes.
Swaner Nature Preserve - Park City![]() Increased development pressures outside of Park City make the 1200-acre Swaner Nature Preserve critical for the conservation and restoration of the sensitive high altitude wet meadow. Established in 1993, Swaner’s mission has been to preserve, educate, and nurture not only the land, but also our human connection to it. The building of a new 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art Nature Education Center will greatly enhance its ability to fulfill that mission. The center is one of only 2 LEED Platinum certified buildings in Utah. Platinum is the highest LEED rating offered by the U.S. Green Building Council. 3form donated a significant amount of material that is used throughout the building.
Faubourg St. Roch Project - New Orleans![]() This is a truly collaborative effort between architects, developers, non-profit, and community organizations. Guided by principles of sustainability, inclusiveness, community leadership and respect for history, the Faubourg St. Roch Project will rebuild nine blocks of the neglected St. Roch neighborhood in New Orleans. Four residential and one commercial unit will be the first to embrace the Standard of Sustainability (SOS) set by the city of New Orleans. 3form is thrilled to be a part of such a holistic and well-envisioned project that will lead to a revitalized environment, community, and economy in an area that needs it most.
Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI)![]() RMI is an independent, entrepreneurial, nonprofit organization fostering the efficient and restorative use of resources so that companies, governments and organizations are more efficient, make more money, and do less harm to the environment. RMI is engaged in cutting-edge research on oil independence, renewable energy technologies, distributed energy, resource planning, green buildings, and radically efficient transportation.
Highway to the Future![]() 3form is hitting the road with Toyota as part of a unique initiative being conducted by the automotive giant. Toyota has launched “Highway to the Future: Mobile Hybrid Experience,” a mobile museum concept, which will travel to more than 150 events nation-wide, bringing valuable information to the public about the environment and alternative fuels. 3form was chosen as a partner, providing its signature and proprietary ecoresin™ architectural material for the design of the exhibit space. With hybrid vehicles, a cleaner world is all part of the design.
