Reclaim

reclaim_lg.jpg

3form takes responsibility for its products over their entire life-cycle. Our Reclaim program reuses and recycles materials removed from installations or panels damaged in production. It is a bi-directional process that prevents panels from entering the landfill and extends their useful life.

Construction and demolition waste accounts for 40% of waste in the United States. 3form is working hard to minimize its contribution by taking back its products at the end of life. This innovative program provides a valuable resource for architects, designers, contractors, and consumers who are trying to minimize their environmental footprint.

Available in a set of standardized sizes and subject to 3form’s rigid quality control standards, this project presents a rare opportunity for consumers and designers to acquire unique panels ready for a second use.

How Reclaim Works

At 3form

  • All 3form panels are shipped with labels and instructions for installers
  • Imperfect panels or those damaged during production are trimmed of flaws and resold in smaller standard sizes on our reclaim website.
On-site
  • Installers place the label in a discreet location, such that it will only be seen upon dismantling
  • When a project is dismantled, the contractor sees the label and notifies 3form, who then arranges for return shipping back to 3form facilities
Back at 3form
  • Panels are inspected and, where possible, refurbished for donation or resale at a discounted price on our website.
  • Panels not in condition to be resold will be refurbished, donated, recycled, or disposed of in the most responsible way possible.

Benefiting the DesignBuildBluff

3form donates ten percent of all proceeds from Reclaim panels to DesignBuildBluff.

DesignBuildBLUFF (DBB) realizes architecture nurtures the spirit and improves the lives of all who experience it. Each year, students from the University of Utah College of Architecture and Planning design and build a home for a member of the Navajo Nation, at no charge to the home recipient. The homes are built with sustainable architecture techniques and feature locally produced construction materials. The program challenges students, giving them the opportunity to learn about architecture through action.

Recycling made easy - we've made it easy for you to return 3form panels at the end of their life cycle and see them efficiently reclaimed and reused in new installations. To reclaim your old panels, simply follow these 3 easy steps.

    Specify

  • Include guidelines for recycling construction waste in your project specifications.

  • Stack your 3form panels on a pallet slightly larger than the biggest panel you are recycling.
  • Place a cardboard or protective plastic layer between each panel.
  • Secure the panels to the pallet by either wrapping them with industrial strength plastic wrap or by banding the pallet with steel or poly strapping.
