Red Dress

At 3form Light Art, we like to let the creative process take us where it will. In the midst of a project mockup for a custom red piece, we studied basic elements of motion and form through experimentation. In order to push the study to its fullest potential, we relied on the talents of Ahna (Product Supervisor) and Barbara Holder, who shared the task at hand: to sew a garment that might play with the breeze; one composed of the very fabrics with which 3form would then press panels for the finished chandelier.

We then took our study outside the Light Art studio to see the interlayer material in its fullest expression of form and movement, interacting with the wind in open air.
