The Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) (2 CFR Parts 184 and 200) requires that construction materials used in federally funded infrastructure projects be produced in the United States. BABAA compliance depends on the type of material being supplied:

• For construction materials (such as glass, drywall, fiber optic cable, etc.), all manufacturing processes must occur in the U.S.
• For manufactured products, the final manufacturing must occur in the U.S., and more than 55% of the cost of components much be U.S.-sourced (unless a higher threshold is specified).
